We absolutely cannot recommend Dave and Sophie enough. They are so friendly and so relaxed whilst always being professional, responsive, and honestly making everything easy for us. We were tricky customers with very specific/niche requests (certain recipes from Nepal, etc) and Dave and Sophie just took it in their stride and went well above and beyond expected. They were one supplier we never had to worry about as they always had everything in hand and were always one step ahead of us. They really thought everything through, and really put us at ease when they arrived on site too, helping iron out last minute details and adjustments, always with a smile and warmth and relaxed nature even when we ourselves were in a total state of chaos! The food was of course incredibly delicious, everyone commented on how special it was, our only regret is not asking them to do the canapes as well! You will not regret booking vegan junkies- we are recommending them to everyone.”

“Fantastic Wedding Catering.
Sophie and Dave recently catered our wedding and I cannot speak highly enough about everything they did for us.
When it came to look for caterers, my husband being veggie really wanted to serve a full veggie menu. In looking for caterers we were initially uninspired about the veggie choices on offer but then we found Vegan Junkies and it was exactly what we were looking for. As are wedding was non- traditional in many ways, we wanted to have a more traditional sit down wedding meal and so opted for Pie, Mash and Gravy – what a perfect wedding day meal!
The initial consultations and food tasting was a brilliant experience and none of our questions or needs felt like too much trouble.
In the run up to the wedding, Dave and Sophie were so responsive via email every time we had a question or query to iron out. They also contacted our venue themselves and worked out their requirements/how the kitchen worked etc which really put our mind at ease and gave us less to worry about.
When it came to the wedding itself, the food was fantastic and everything ran so so seamlessly. Sophie and Dave clearly have a very professional and organised set up. It was so so lovely to see our family enjoy vegan food – I have tried to cook my family tofu many times and they maintain they hated but they loved the sweet chilli tofu canapes. The evening food was also wonderful- we had nachos/mexican rice bowls and one guest said it was the best food he has ever had at a wedding!
From start to finish, Sophie and Dave were truly wonderful and were such a part of making our wedding day special – couldn’t recommend them enough.”

“Perfect vegan catering.
We had the junkies for our wedding in Sept 2024 (150 people) and couldn’t have been more pleased that we went with them. Soph and Dave were brilliant right from the start. They were really flexible and creative at helping us craft a menu that showcased the sort of vegan food we love, but also came in at an affordable budget. Communication was great throughout the process, using email, whatsapp and zoom meetings whenever they were needed them, and Dave and Soph are so relaxed and friendly, it felt more like working on something with a couple of (very capable) friends.
After we’d booked them, we went to visit them in Shropshire for a tasting (a nice part of the country – we made a mini-break of the trip) which was one of the first things that got us really excited about the wedding and allowed us to finalise the menu, and see how amazingly delicious their food is. Some of the things I was unsure would work well vegan (e.g. arancini balls) were actually amazing! Our guests (predominantly non vegans) agreed, and we had lots of people telling us it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. We had a mix of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and asian food, served on large platters on the tables so guests could help themselves to the things they liked best, which worked really well.
Our wedding was in a family garden rather than a venue, and we didn’t hire a wedding planner, so there were lots of logistics we had to consider and manage ourselves, and Dave and Soph were really helpful in helping us think through everything (e.g. crockery and glassware hire, power requirements, layout of the catering gazebo, timings on the day etc). Their advice and experience was invaluable even for things not related to catering – we hired a generator and Dave was able to lend a hand and his knowledge in getting it all set up etc. They came down a couple of days in advance to get everything ready and start preparing food, and again they were so relaxed and helpful, it was great to have them around in those final couple of manic days. It meant that we were confident that, whatever else happened, the food was something we didn’t need to worry about. On the day, we got a bit bit behind schedule with our photos, but Dave and Soph were easily able to adapt, pushing service time back a bit and still get everything served hot and delicious.
In short, the food was the highlight of our wedding, and Soph and Dave were brilliant to work with. Thankyou!”

We had some limitations with our venue in terms of not being able to have hot food catered externally, but we felt strongly about having Dave and Sophie cater our wedding and they went above and beyond. They provided an amazing menu even without hot food that was delicious and did not leave us or the guests desiring more. Dave and Sophie catered for our wedding in August this year and we couldn’t be happier with how amazing the food was for our special day! After being let down by another caterer a few months prior, we were so happy to have found Vegan Junkies, and from day 1 they were so helpful, thoughtful and did everything they could to make the catering a success at our wedding. With us both being vegan, we wanted to use this opportunity to show our (nearly all non-vegan) guests how amazing vegan food can be, and Dave and Sophie did not let us down at all – we had so many amazing comments on the food afterwards, with many people having their opinions changed on vegan food! We are both vegans and had decided we wanted to have an all vegan wedding, we were struggling to find something that would inspire both vegans and meat-eaters (ie not just falafel/salad) VJ were brilliant for this! We selected the menu which had Burritos, Loaded Nachos and Rice Bowl with two different fillings options served with an array of toppings. Sophie & Dave offered menu suggestions which accommodated our budget, they were also extremely helpful with answering our questions and working with our venue. We cannot recommend them enough. P.S. They worked very hard to make sure that all of the food was served timely and hot, even though there were a large number of guests. The food was delicious and we got lots of positive feedback from even our non-vegan guests! We would definitely recommend them. Sophie and Dave were brilliant from the moment we contacted them. We’d had problems with our first caterer and had to cancel so booked with Vegan Junkies with relatively short notice. Their communication from first contact was brilliant, very helpful and quick to respond.
Our venue had no catering equipment and could not even plug in to the mains but this didn’t faze Sophie and Dave and they dealt with all the problems without us having to worry. The food itself was unreal. We had canapés for the drinks reception, pie and mash for the wedding breakfast and pizza for the evening food. Our guests loved the food with many saying they couldn’t believe vegan good could be so good. The star of the show was the mac and cheese balls which were served at the evening reception! “Crikey, where to start with this amazing bunch of people…. Well, the start may be best. We happened upon Vegan Junkies online a year prior to our wedding and it was apparent from that first Zoom meeting that we had found our ideal caterers. They totally got what we were going for, our tasting session was entertaining and delicious in equal measure; as a bonus they only went and offered a bar service too! On the lead-up to our big day they were nothing but helpful and supportive, keeping us updated and making sure everything was as it should be. They were happy to cater for allergies and intolerances, so everyone could enjoy their delicious cuisine. They are also very transparent about costs and capabilities, plus are just a lovely pair of people, really. You can tell they are incredibly passionate about what they do. Come the wedding day itself, they were, in a word, incredible. Everything had been efficiently prepared, the canapés were a massive hit (especially their godly Mac and Cheeze balls!) and the main meals (we went for their Bangin’ Bean Chili and Drunk Jack options) blew even the vegan-apprehensive of guests away. The evening buffet was also splendid; their pizzas were quite something to behold! As for the bar service, it was flawless. The bar staff were efficient, friendly and helpful, with drinks flowing long into the night and keeping many guests dancefloor-bound until the small hours. They looked to be enjoying our wedding as much as the guests, whilst still keeping it professional of course. In summary, we’d highly recommend Sophie, Dave and the team at Vegan Junkies for weddings, parties, festivals and anywhere that’ll have them! If you want an unforgettable experience, helmed by a pair of amazing food- enthusiasts, then we honestly cannot think of anyone better suited.
